"Are We Really Proclaiming the Gospel?" with Ryan O'Hara How do evangelization and catechesis fit together in Youth Ministry? Can a Youth Minister focus on one (catechesis OR evangelization) to the exclusion of the other? Using John Paul II's "On Catechesis in Our Time", this session will consider the potential pitfalls in your Youth Ministry program if you fail to get this connection right, but also what you can hope for, in the lives of teenagers, if you do. "Marriage And Family Life: Are You Up For the Call?" Lifeline Mass with Fr. Tom Wilson & Evening Program with Gina Bauer God has a vocation - a special call - for each one of us whether it is priesthood, religious life, the consecrated single life or to sacred marriage and family life. But what exactly is this vocation all about? Does God have a plan and purpose for sacred marriage? Is there more to it than what we see depicted through media and society? With us this month is Gina Bauer. Gina speaks to thousands of young people throughout the country. She will inspire and challenge us with the truth of God's grand design and divine mission for which family is created. Doors open at 5:30 PM.

A Mass of Healing "That All Might Be Made Whole" (Isaiah 53:5) with Fr. Jim Livingston Fr. Jim Livingston says it so beautifully: "Jesus promises us abundant life but often we find ourselves wounded in spirit or in our emotions even though we may be strong physically. He alone can reach the wounds that no one sees. The Eucharist is the Healing Presence of Jesus." Fr. Jim will offer a Mass of Healing for all of us who serve the Church as Youth Ministers, Faith Formation Directors, DRE's or Volunteers. Set aside this special time for you to experience abundant life and freedom made possible through the passion, death and Resurrection of Jesus. "Senior High Ministry in the Catholic Church today" with Bob Swift It's no surprise that retaining Catholic teens after they receive the sacrament of Confirmation is challenging to say the least. How do we keep these young people engaged and active in their faith? Bob Swift will be with this month to look at this issue. He will identify barriers to effective high school ministry, how to build a solid foundation before high school and how to equip high school teens for youth ministry in your parish. An Evening of Praise, Worship and The WORD! with Fr. Andrew Cozzens & SONAR It happened the evening of Easter Sunday. You know the story. The disciples of Jesus were locked away in an upper room in fear for their lives. After all, Jesus, their leader, had been crucified and the disciples were convinced they were next. But what happened? Jesus came, stood in their midst, showed them His hands and side then said, "Peace be with you." How did the disciples respond? Scripture tells us, "The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord." (Jn. 20:20) Doors open at 5:30 PM.

"Be Filled With the Holy Spirit" with Fr. Jim Livingston You know what it's like to wait for a gift that you know is coming soon, like waiting for Christmas. It's exciting; it's something to look forward to. And that's exactly how it felt with the disciples of Jesus when He told them they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. They found out a few days later on a holiday called "Pentecost". All were filled with the Holy Spirit and their lives were changed. They had a new power at work in them. They would never be the same. "Discovering Divine Assistance: God's Provision for Effective Ministry" with Gina Bauer The Psalmist writes: "I lift my eyes toward the mountains, whence shall help come to me? My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.' (Ps. 121). And again, "Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it." (Ps. 127:1) Without doubt, youth ministry is a lot of time, energy and effort. It's a labor of love. The good news is that we are not in this work alone. And too often, we forget that the Lord is with us. He has made spiritual provision to assist us in His mission to reach young people for Him. Specific spiritual provision which many of us may not be aware of. Please join us for a free lunch at noon.
